Antioxidant, cholesterol lowering activity, and analysis of Caesalpinia bonducella seeds extract

Tombili plant ( Caesalpinia bonducella ) belongs to the family of Fabaceae . The seed extract tombili has been empirically used as a traditional medicine. purpose this research was fractionate and test their antioxidant cholesterol lowering activities. Extraction made into fractions using n -hexane, ethyl acetate, methanol solvent. chemical compound acetate fraction analyzed liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Antioxidant activity tested DPPH method. highest shown in with an IC 50 value 86.153 μg/mL. second 94.053 μg/mL, third -hexane 100.933 analysis showed that all could inhibit cholesterol. anti-cholesterol concentration 600 μg/mL can 81.5% activity. LC-MS/MS contained glucoside, homoplantaginin, vernolic acid compounds.
